Jet Set Radio brought gamers into the vibrant world of in-line skater
and graffiti artist Beat and his crew of rudies in 2000. Our portrayal
of Beat stands 14 inches tall (1/6 scale), and in that unique and loose
cel-shaded style that gave the original games so much identity. Beat is
grinding along one of Tokyo-To’s many beams on his in-line skates,
causing the sparks to fly. To truly bring the piece to life, these
sparks also flash and flicker, through use of LEDs installed in the
base. We have added other features to the base such as a faux-grass to
add to the scene.
